Hello.

Welcome to my secret page…

If you found yourself here, either we’ve met or you’ve followed a pointing finger tucked into the corner of a website. Welcome to the back room.

This hidden page is where I share scraps, process, and imperfect experiments—installation explorations, notebooks, ways of making ghost traps (see novel), or art-as-therapy. Like a studio wall or a mosaic-in-progress, nothing has to be perfect to belong here.

Thanks for stepping in.

Poetry

I see poetry everywhere: in a dancer’s moving body, in a well-told story, in a well-lived life, in the character lines of a person’s face. My work orbits the image of eyes and the theme of perception, and my poetry lives in the space between opposite-but-connected images—like comedy and tragedy, light and dark, or life and death—where existence meets itself in the mirror and recognizes: All this. Through my creative process, I seek to expand the horizon of my own perception and to reconcile the contradictions within that area of illumination.

Living Creativity

describes a way of life. What does choosing the creative life mean?

A commitment to stillness, receptivity, and exploration—within the limits of craft and form—renewed each day through a practice. Whether a creator's medium is words, tones, hues, figures, fabrics, or movement, creativity receives imagination through inner stillness and offers an outward embodied expression. It’s an Art of Being.

Beauty & Art

Beauty

Things do not have to be perfect to be beautiful. Like an eclectic collection of images, or a mosaic that’s much more charming with all its diverse elements all together, each piece with its own distinctive character gives a Whole Character greater beyond what any piece could offer on its own.

The Art Connection

My relationship with art is meditative and therapeutic. It's about reaching that space within me where I go quiet and just be. I collect items headed for the trash heap and breathe new life into them by transforming them into backyard art. These pieces are often intertwined with poems I wrote in parallel time sequence.

Ritual

1) a poem is something written by an actually human being in an actual moment

2) and so a video poem should recreate that moment for the viewer by

3) including a protagonist that experiences that moment

4) and by choosing images that create a storyline of that moment

5) including the experiencer and poetic theme of the moment

5) thereby recreating the moment for the viewer

What does the universe want to create through me today?

that the ways the environment inevitably shapes me can be like a loving teacher’s fingers that shape my life into a poem that is very beautiful like the roots of a tree that go down very deep into the soil and grow up very strong into the sky and is very beautiful and drops all its leaves at the right time, becomes old and ancient in wisdom, leaving every leaf as a beautiful creative offering to the world.
